Affectionately known around the workshop as the Shop Goblin, Steve’s journey into the world of cabinetry is a story of passion, late beginnings, and a harmonious blend of music and craftsmanship. In 2014, Steve found his calling in a small shop, working under the guidance of a family friend who happened to be a skilled guitar builder. Their connection through music paved the way for a unique learning experience. Steve was not only taught the intricacies of cabinetry but was also given the freedom to explore and develop his skills. It was in this environment that he discovered his deep love for the art of woodworking. Steve’s appreciation extends beyond the workshop to the beautiful surroundings of the Valley. Living on K’ómoks First Nation land fills him with a sense of gratitude. Despite the city’s unprecedented growth, Steve sees this as an exciting time to be part of the community.
